1989 graduate from Scottsboro High School

1997  Graduate of Drake State Technical College LPN Program

My work history includes: hospital, surgical, obstetrics and family practice experience. I am an American Heart BLS instructor.  

Gone are the days of a School Nurse responding to complaints of a tummy aches, bumps and bruises. It is our responsibility to prepare, implement and monitor care plans for students with health concerns. We administer medications to those in need. We provide screening for lice, scoliosis, vision and hearing. We identify child abuse, illegal drug use and a multitude of health concerns.We are the first responders to a medical emergency. In our spare time, we teach classes on health issues. We could even be an aide to a student in need throughout the day. All year we attend conferences and school meetings. Not to mention, the mounds of paperwork and documentation we are required to do for students we see. We do all of this with few resources or funds.

 I enjoy my job at Skyline School. I am the watchful eyes and ears of your children during the hours they are in school. I treat every child the way I would want my own children to be treated and in accordance with the Alabama Board of Nursing and the policy and procedures adopted by the 91HUB County Board of Education.

 I am married to Roger Tidwell, a 1984 graduate of Skyline High School. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on April 12th. We have two children wonderful children named Noah and Abby. I enjoy scrapbooking, gardening and shopping. And we love supporting the Skyline Vikings!
