Ms. Nichole Graham

I am Nichole Graham. I am a 1994 Graduate of Sylvania High School. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN in May, 2010. I then added an endorsement in Early Childhood Education from Tennessee Wesleyan University in June 2011. I received my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Alabama in May 2019. In July, 2021, I added an endorsement in English Language Arts (Secondary 6-12). I have 12 years of teaching experience: 1 year of 4th Grade, 1 year of 2nd Grade that included a JV softball coaching position, 6 years of PreK, 1 year of 5th/6th Grade ELA and Science, and 3 years of 5th - 8th Grade English Language Arts. I will begin my 13th year of teaching by continuing to teach 5th-8th Grade English Language Arts and Reading. I am SUPER excited to be teaching my favorite subject here at Hollywood!

I am so very blessed with 2 amazing children who are the absolute loves of my life and my greatest accomplishments. My son, Clay, is 21 and a 2020 graduate of Sylvania High School. My daughter, Addie, is 17 and is in the 12th grade at Fyffe High School. Most of my spare time during the school year is spent watching Addie play sports or cheer at Fyffe High School sporting and competition events. She cheered on the FHS Varsity squad and competition squad for the last 3 years (with last year winning State for both Traditional and GameDay cheer), and currently plays on the Varsity Volleyball, Basketball and Softball teams. My hobbies include singing, church activities, camping, traveling, writing poetry, and spending as much time as possible with my family and friends.

I have always been a people person and love to talk, which is why I planned to pursue a musical path as a career. I attended Northeast Community College on a full vocal scholarship. I moved to Nashville in 1998 to pursue my dream of singing. After living in Nashville for 2 years, I became a travel nanny for a Southern Gospel group. It was only after having my son and becoming a stay-at home mom in 2002, that I discovered my love for teaching. I wanted my son to have the BEST teachers, like most parents do. I then decided to pursue a degree in education instead of a career in music. I teach the way I want my children to be taught and I want to be the teacher I would want my children to have. I believe that every child can learn. I also believe that although they learn differently, every child deserves to be given the very best opportunity to learn. I love teaching and I love coming to school every single day. I am so very thankful and blessed to be a Hollywood Hawk!!
