• The acronym H.E.R.D. stands for Having Exceptional Responsibility Daily.  The H.E.R.D. program is a way of recognizing students in fifth through eighth grade for outstanding grades and good behavior.   Students who earn all A's or all A's and B's on their report card for a semester, have no office referrals, and/or attendance issues are eligible to participate in this program.  Students are recognized at a ceremony which is followed by a day of fun and games.  In addition, students who maintain all A's receive a blue card which allows them entry into all home sporting events at no cost.  Students who maintain all A's and B's receive a white card which allows them entry into all home sporting events for $3.00.  The H.E.R.D. program recognizes students and holds award ceremonies two times a year.
